Last week I wrote a WebLinks post about tracking Santa on Christmas Eve on his journey around the world delivering gifts to all the good boys and girls. I mentioned that at the time there was a discrepancy in the scheduled take off time for Santa's sleigh between the traditional NORAD and newbies Google, but the differences didn't end there. According to the Washington Post and the blog "Monkeyshine Nutworks" each site tracked Santa to different locations at the same time.
I tracked Santa before going to bed Christmas Eve using Google. At the time he was in New Zealand and appeared to miss some major cities, but as there were no reports of kids missing out on Christmas morning, I think we can only assume that Santa's magic is too good and too fast for regular GPS tracking.
