Editors of Wikipedia

We've all used Wikipedia, the free online encyclopedia, to look up information.  Most of us understand that site's content  is written collaboratively by largely anonymous internet volunteers, but have you ever stopped to think about who these writers and editors are?  

The Wikimedia Foundation have a page dedicated to the many people around the work who write and edit articles for Wikipedia.  The site thanks these contributors with links to some of their autobiography pages.  Finally the site invites readers to create an account and become a contributor to Wikipedia.
