NBN, how fast?

Most Australians would have heard about the NBN (National Broadband Network), which is currently rolling out the fibre network to provide very high speed broadband internet across the country.

The high cost of the NBN has sparked much political debate, as well as amongst every day Australians.  Some of the arguments and commentary are factually inaccurate, or may only talk about download speed (not upload).

So how fast is the NBN?  howfastisthenbn.com.au has a graphical representation of internet speeds on the current fibre to the premises NBN plan of the Labor Party, compared to the fibre to the node plan of the opposition Liberal party (not that much better than some current ADSL connections).

Check it out… http://howfastisthenbn.com.au
