Flight Tracking in Australia

Are you an aviation enthusiast in Australia?  Air Services Australia provide a Web Tracking service that allows you to view the flight paths around Australia's major air ports on a Google Map showing detailed flight information.

To check this out, go to www.airservicesaustralia.com/aircraftnoise/webtrak and select the air port you'd like to look at...

Flight Tracking - Sydney

The flight tracking information you see isn't live,
it's about 40 minutes behind,
but once downloaded you can fast-forward and rewind to see the aircraft movements.
The site also shows ground sound levels at certain locations.

Note; the site does require the Adobe Flash Player,
so it wont work on your iPhone while you're sitting at the air port waiting for a flight to arrive.

This site can be really fascinating if you have an interest in aviation,
so check it out...
... or you can go straight to Sydney or Melbourne.
