Space College

A group of “Citizen Scientists” and High School Students in the US have re-established contact with an abandoned space NASA spacecraft.  The group, Space College, faced many challenges, like emulating 40 year old communications hardware that no longer existed.

NASA last contacted the spacecraft, ISEE3, briefly in 1999.  Around 15 years later, Space College’s Reboot Project re-established contact and found most systems still to be operating.
